In the lives of local youth
The Longhouse Council supports weekly activities for more than 2,700 youth and 1,250 adult volunteers. We provide Scout programs that promote positive development through mentoring and engaging youth in opportunities
for individual growth and community connectedness.
Youth in six counties in Central New York have year round opportunities to attend programs at our two camps: Camp Woodland and Sabattis Scout Reservation. At these camps Scouts engage in a variety of activities through which they learn and develop new skills and have a lot of fun!
In our communities
It is a well known fact that Scouting is good for the health of communities. In 2018, Scout units
in Longhouse Council provided over 36,000 hours of service to their communities.
Financial support is vital for the continuation of our Scout programs. Your participation helps to ensure the success of local Scouting. On behalf of the Longhouse Council, thank you for your support!
